Its businesses are managed through five underwriting segments and HCC�s Investing segment. Its underwriting segments are U.S. Property & Casualty, Professional Liability, Accident & Health, U.S. Surety & Credit and International. In January 2012, the Company merged its wholly owned subsidiaries Pioneer General Insurance Company with and into American Contractors Indemnity Company.
