The Taiwan Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment fund. The Fund focuses its investments on the securities listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The Fund's investment objective is to seek long-term capital appreciation primarily through investments in equity securities listed in Taiwan. At least 80% of the Fund's assets will be invested in Taiwanese companies. The Fund�s investment adviser is Martin Currie, Inc.
