The Company operates in five segments: Rail Group; Railcar Leasing and Management Services Group; Construction Products Group; Inland Barge Group, and Energy Equipment Group. All Other includes its captive insurance and transportation companies; legal, environmental, and maintenance costs associated with non-operating facilities; other peripheral businesses, and the change in market valuation related to commodity hedges. In August 2014, the Company acquired the assets of Meyer Steel Structures, the utility steel structures division of Thomas & Betts Corporation, a member of the ABB Group.
