Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. (Sensata) is a subsidiary of Sensata Investment Company S.C.A. (SCA). Sensata is an industrial technology company, is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of sensors and controls. It produces a range of sensors and controls for mission-critical applications, such as thermal circuit breakers in aircraft, pressure sensors in automotive systems, and bimetal current and temperature control devices in electric motors. Its sensors are customized devices, which translates a physical phenomenon, such as force or position into electronic signals, which microprocessors or computer-based control systems can act upon. Its controls are customized devices embedded within systems to protect them from heat or current. In August 2014, Sensata announced that its subsidiary acquired DeltaTech Controls.
