Southern Acids (M) Berhad (SAB) had its humble beginnings in 1980 as an oleochemical producer and exporter under the auspices of the Southern Group of companies. In 1991, the company took on a greater challenge of expansion and became listed on what is today the Bursa Malaysia Main Market. SAB has since ventured into the up-stream palm oil industry such as oil palm plantation and milling, locally and abroad, and the provision of an integrated warehousing and hi-speed portside loading of palm kernel expellers services in the country. As part of its continuous diversification programme, SAB has ventured into the healthcare and property development industries.
