I have been a passive investor for over 30 years, started off with little knowledge and listening to others. I started with investing in the USA, since I was working in a multi-national, and remember that the stock recommended was a tobacco stock. I didn't invest because I didn't like smoking. It must have been a big mistake. Currently, retired and focusing on my Singapore portfolio. My Malaysian portfolio is managed by an ex-colleague who has 30+ years in investing and now a reminsier. My USA portfolio is now with TD Ameritrade, after transferring from E*Trade, an account which I had almost 20 years. Now I have the time to really be an investor, attending AGM, following what others are talking as well as doing my own homework.
