The Group is a holding company incorporated in the Cayman Islands and listed on the Korea Exchange and established for the primary purpose of managing its wholly-owned Lao subsidiary, Kolao Developing Co., Ltd. ('KDC'), which is a leading automobile and motorcycle distributor in the Lao PDR. The Group is a member of the Kolao Group, which is the one of the largest private conglomerates in the Lao PDR in terms of revenue. Through KDC, the Group operates a complete value chain business in the Lao automobile and motorcycle markets.The Group’s operations consist mainly of the following six business segments: • new automobile. The new automobile business segment sells a diverse range of new automobiles in the Lao PDR. The Group sells passenger vehicles, mini buses, sports utility vehicles ('SUVs') and trucks under distributorship agreements with Hyundai Motor Company ('Hyundai'), Kia Motors Corporation ('Kia') and Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. ('Chery'), and commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, mixer trucks and excavators under distributorship agreements with Hyundai and Doosan Infracore Co., Ltd. ('Doosan'). • new complete knock-down ('CKD') automobile. The new CKD automobile business segment, which was launched in September 2013, designs and develops new CKD automobiles, including 1-ton and 2.5-ton trucks and pick-up trucks, assembles imported CKD parts and components into complete new automobiles and sells them under the Group’s in-house DAEHAN brand. • motorcycle. The motorcycle business segment designs and develops motorcycles, assembles importedmotorcycle parts and components into complete motorcycles and sells them under our in-house KOLAO brand. • wholesale. The wholesale business segment sells genuine automotive parts and accessories, including tires, car batteries and engine oil purchased from suppliers located in Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, to third party dealers. • after-sales. The after-sales business segment provides warranty and non-warranty related after-sales maintenance and repair services for the automobiles and motorcycles we have sold. • other. The other business segment buys back used automobiles that were previously sold by the Group as new or used automobiles and re-sells them to new customers, and to a lesser extent, provides rental services.The GDS will NOT be traded on SGX-ST as the securities will not be CDP eligible and hence unable to be settled through CDP.
