Contango Oil & Gas Company (Contango) is an independent natural gas and oil company. The Company�s core business is to explore, develop, produce and acquire natural gas and oil properties onshore and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico in water-depths of less than 300 feet. Contango Operators, Inc. (COI), its wholly owned subsidiary, acts as operator on its properties. In October 2013, Contango Oil & Gas Company and Crimson Exploration Inc. jointly announced the completion of the merger.
