Eaton Vance California Municipal Income Trust (the Trust) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from regular federal income tax and California state personal income taxes. The Trust invests primarily in investment-grade debt securities issued by California municipalities. The Trust invests primarily in bonds with stated maturities of 10 years or longer. It may invest in inverse floating-rate securities, also referred to as tender option bonds. The Trust invests in sectors, such as education, electric utilities, healthcare, hospital, housing, transportation, and water and sewer.
