Virtus Global Multi-Sector Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund�s investment objective is to maximize current income while preserving capital. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its Managed Assets in fixed income securities of the United States and non-United States issuers. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its Managed Assets in issuers located in at least three countries, including the United States. The Fund�s investments will include securities issued or guaranteed as to principal and interest by the United States Government, its agencies, authorities or instrumentalities; debt securities issued by foreign governments and their political subdivisions; investment grade securities of United States and non-United States issuers, and debt securities of United States and non-United States issuers. Virtus Investment Advisers, Inc. acts as the Fund�s investment adviser.
