The Swiss Helvetia Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a non-diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund�s objective is to seek long-term capital appreciation through investment in equity and equity-linked securities of Swiss companies. The Fund also may acquire and hold equity and equity-linked securities of non-Swiss companies in limited instances. The Fund invests in Swiss companies ranging from some of global businesses to mid- and smaller-size companies that are less represented in the major Swiss indices, including private equity investments in early stage companies. It invests in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology; industrial goods and services; banks, insurance, financial services; food and beverage; personal and household goods, retailers; energy; technology, and chemical, construction and material sectors. The Fund is managed by Hottinger Capital Corp.
