Suncor Energy Inc. (Suncor) is an integrated energy company. The Company is focused on developing petroleum resource basins-Canada's Athabasca oil sands. In addition, the Company explores, acquires, develops, produces and markets crude oil in Canada and internationally, and the Company transports and refines crude oil, and market petroleum and petrochemical products primarily in Canada. The Company operates under three segments: Oil Sands, Exploration and Production, and Refining and Marketing. The Company also markets third-party petroleum products. The Company also conducts energy trading activities focused principally on the marketing and trading of crude oil and byproducts. In September 2013, the Company announced that it has sold its conventional natural gas business in Western Canada to CQ Energy Canada Partnership, a newly established partnership between Centrica plc and Qatar Petroleum International Ltd.
