RLJ Lodging Trust (RLJ), is a real estate investment trust (REIT). RLJ is a hotel investment company focused on acquiring branded, focused-service and compact full-service hotels. As of December 31, 2012, the Company, through wholly-owned subsidiaries, owned 100% of the interests in 144 hotels and a 95% interest in one hotel. Its 145 hotels are made up of 21,617 suites/rooms and are located in 21 states and the District of Columbia. The Company invests in focused-service and compact full-service hotels, which typically generate most of its revenue from room rentals, have limited food and beverage outlets and meeting space. In June 2014, the Company acquired 231-room Hilton Cabana Miami Beach. In July 2014, RLJ Lodging Trust acquired the Hyatt Atlanta Midtown Hotel.
