Pioneer High Income Trust (the Trust) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The investment objective of the Trust is to seek a high level of current income and the Trust may, as a secondary objective, also seek capital appreciation to the extent that it is consistent with its investment objective. The Trust invests at least 80% of its assets in below investment grade (high-yield) debt securities, loans and preferred stocks. The Trust's portfolio includes corporate bonds and notes, convertible bonds and notes, senior secured floating rate loan interests, tax exempt obligations, common stocks, asset backed securities, preferred stocks, sovereign debt obligations, collateralized mortgage obligations, convertible preferred stock and municipal collateralized debt obligation.
