Northwest Natural Gas Company (NW Natural) operates in two business segments: Local Gas Distribution and Gas Storage. The Company maintains operations in Oregon, Washington and California and conducts businesses through NW Natural, its subsidiaries. The Company is principally engaged in the distribution of natural gas in Oregon and southwest Washington. The Company's gas storage segment primarily consists of two underground natural gas storage facilities: Mist Storage and GILL RANCH. It provides gas storage services to customers in the interstate and intrastate markets from its Mist gas storage facilities located in Columbia County, Oregon, near the town of Mist. Gill Ranch Storage, LLC (Gill Ranch), the Company's subsidiary, has a joint project agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to develop and own the Gill Ranch underground natural gas storage facility near Fresno, California.
