Nuveen Virginia Premium Income Municipal Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end investment management company. The Fund�s primary investment objective is to provide current income exempt from regular federal and Virginia income tax. The Fund�s secondary investment objective is to enhance portfolio value relative to the Virginia municipal bond market by investing in tax-exempt Virginia municipal securities. Municipal securities are securities, including municipal bonds and notes, other securities issued to finance and refinance public projects, and related securities and derivative investments creating exposure to municipal bonds, notes and securities that provide for the payment of interest income that is exempt from regular federal income tax.
