The Company manages, franchises, owns and develops Hyatt-branded hotels, resorts and residential and vacation ownership properties globally. In October 2012, Summit Hotel Properties Inc acquired eight hotels containing an aggregate of 1,043 guestrooms (the Hyatt Portfolio) from certain affiliates of Hyatt, which include Hyatt Place-Arlington, Hyatt Place-Park Meadows, Hyatt Place-Denver Tech Center, Hyatt House-Denver Tech Center, Hyatt Place-Owings Mills, Hyatt Place-Lombard, Hyatt Place-Phoenix and Hyatt Place-Scottsdale. In September 2013, Inland American Lodging Group, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Inland American Real Estate Trust, Inc. and Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the respective purchase and sale of the 14-story, 501-room Hyatt Regency Santa Clara in Santa Clara, Calif. In August 2014, Hyatt Hotels Corp announced that its subsidiary acquired 210-room Park Hyatt New York.
