Daqo New Energy Corp. (Daqo Cayman) is a polysilicon manufacturer based in China. The Company manufactures and sells polysilicon to photovoltaic product manufacturers, who further process its polysilicon into ingots, wafers, cells and modules for solar power solutions. As of June 30, 2010, Daqo Cayman had an installed annual polysilicon production capacity of 3,300 metric tons. Substantially all of its production, storage, administrative, and research and development facilities are located in Chongqing, China. During the year ended December 31, 2009, Daqo Cayman produced 1,523 metric tons of polysilicon and sold 1,498 metric tons. In July and August 2010, the Company produced approximately 671 metric tons of polysilicon, sold approximately 643 metric tons to customers and used approximately 17 metric tons of its polysilicon to process wafers through tolling arrangements with third party wafer manufacturers. In September 2012, the Company sold Nanjing Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd.
