Bio-Rad operates in two segments: Life Science and Clinical Diagnostics. The Company’s Life Science segment develops, manufactures and markets a range of over 5,000 reagents, apparatus and laboratory instruments. The Company’s Clinical Diagnostics segment designs, manufactures, sells and supports test systems, informatics systems, test kits and quality controls that serve clinical laboratories in the global diagnostics market. Bio-Rad’s product brands include Droplet Digital and BioPlex. As of December 31, 2014, the Company had direct distribution channels in over 35 countries outside the United States through subsidiaries.
