United-Guardian, Inc. (United), through its Guardian Laboratories Division (Guardian), manufactures and markets cosmetic ingredients, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, medical and health care products, and specialty industrial products. The Company�s products are into four product categories: pharmaceuticals, personal care products (including cosmetic ingredients), medical products, and industrial products. The Company�s two product lines are the LUBRAJEL line of cosmetic ingredients and medical lubricants, which accounted for approximately 82% of the Company's sales during the year ended December 31, 2011, and its RENACIDIN IRRIGATION (RENACIDIN), a pharmaceutical product that accounted for approximately 13% of its sales during 2011. The Company's products are marketed through collaborative agreements with larger companies.
