Pathfinder Bancorp, Inc. is a federally chartered mid-tier holding company. The primary business of the Company is its investment in Pathfinder Bank (the Bank). The Bank is primarily engaged in the business of attracting deposits from the general public in the Bank's market area, and investing such deposits, together with other sources of funds, in loans secured by one- to four-family residential real estate, commercial real estate, small business loans and consumer loans. As of December 31, 2011, 77% of the Company�s total loan portfolio consisted of loans secured by first mortgages on residential and commercial real estate, of which $162 million or 53.28%, were secured by commercial real estate and $73 million or 24.1%, were secured by commercial real estate.
