Northwest Pipe Company is a manufacturer of large-diameter, high-pressure steel pipeline systems for use in waters infrastructure applications, primarily related to drinking water systems, and the Company also manufactures other welded steel pipe products for uses in a range of applications, including energy, construction, agriculture, and industrial uses. The Company operates in two segments: Water Transmission segment and Tubular Products segment. The Company's pipeline systems are also used for hydroelectric power systems, wastewater systems and other applications. The Company manufactures water infrastructure products through its Water Transmission Group. In January 2014, the Company acquired Permalok Corp, a fabricator of steel piping utilizing the Permalok patented interlocking pipe joining system. In April 2014, Northwest Pipe Company sold its substantially all of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) assets to Centric Pipe, LLC.
