Globe Specialty Metals, Inc. (GSM) is a producer of silicon metal and silicon-based alloys, with approximately 120,000 metric tons (MT) of silicon metal capacity (excluding Dow Corning Corporation�s portion of the capacity of its Alloy, West Virginia plant) and 120,000 MT of silicon-based alloys capacity. The Company operating segments include GMI, Globe Metais, Globe Metales, Solsil, Corporate and Other. As of June 30, 2012, the Company's products were produced in seven principal operating facilities located in the United States, Canada and Argentina. In addition, the Company operates facilities in Poland and China. In November 2013, Globe Specialty Metals Inc acquired Silicon Technology (Pty), Ltd.
