Green Plains Inc (Green Plains), formerly Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc., incorporated on June 29, 2004, is vertically integrated producer, marketer and distributer of ethanol. Green Plains operates in four segments: ethanol production, corn oil production, agribusiness and marketing and distribution segment. As of December 31, 2011, it had operations throughout the ethanol value chain, beginning upstream with its agronomy and grain handling operations, continuing through its approximately 740 million gallons per year, of ethanol production capacity and its corn oil production, and ending downstream with its ethanol marketing, distribution and blending facilities. In June 2014, the Company acquired the assets of Supreme Cattle Feeders from Agri Beef Co.
