Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) is engaged in acquiring, financing, and owning real estate property to be leased to gaming operators in triple net lease arrangements. The Company holds directly or indirectly all of the assets and liabilities associated with the real property interests and real estate development business related to Penn National Gaming, Inc.�s (Penn) gaming operations, as well as the assets and liabilities of Louisiana Casino Cruises, Inc. (Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge) and Penn Cecil Maryland, Inc. (Hollywood Casino Perryville). On November 1, 2013, Penn completed the spin-off of GLPI. In January 2014, Gaming and Leisure Properties announced the acquisition of the real estate assets associated with the Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Illinois.
