Denny�s Corporation (Denny�s) operates a family-style restaurant chains in the United States. Denny�s, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Denny�s, Inc., owns and operates the Denny�s restaurant brand. The Company offers a variety of items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in addition to appetizers, desserts and beverages. At December 28, 2011, the Denny�s brand consisted of 1,685 restaurants, 1,479 (88%) of which were franchised/licensed restaurants and 206 (12%) of which were Company-owned and operated. During the fiscal year ended December 28, 2011 (fiscal 2011), it opened five licensed locations on university campuses, which operate under either the Denny�s Fresh Express or Denny�s AllNighter names.
