These Companies are regulated public utilities, while the Company�s three non-regulated subsidiaries include Artesian Utility Development, Inc. (Artesian Utility), Artesian Development Corporation (Artesian Development) and Artesian Consulting Engineers, Inc. The Company distributes and sells water, including water for public and private fire protection, to residential, commercial, industrial, municipal and utility customers throughout the states of Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. On December 21, 2011, the Company�s subsidiary, Artesian Water Maryland completed the purchase of several Cecil County-owned water systems.
