A company called Toyoinki (M) Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 07 February 1979 . Toyoinki was renamed Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd on 21 April 1979 and commenced business as a manufacturer of gravure & flexographic printing inks for the packaging industry in Malaysia . Toyo Photo Products Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 02 December 1983 dealing in the supplies of quality consumables, equipment and services to the graphics arts industry. On 10 January 1990 , A subsidiary company named Toyo Dai-nichi Ink Sdn Bhd was formed between Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Dainichiseika of Japan. This company specialized in the manufacture of off-set inks and other printing materials with technological assistance from Japan. Toyo Ink (Perak) Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 20 March 1992 to market the products of the Toyo Ink Group and operates from Ipoh in the state of Perak. Toyo Ink ( Penang ) Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 11 October 1996 to market the products of the Toyo Ink Group in the Northern States of Peninsular Malaysia. The group has an associate company called Toyo Color Pte Ltd which deals in the sales, import and export of printing inks, printing machinery and equipment. Toyo Ink Sdn Bhd achieved ISO 9002:1994 Quality Certification on 12 March 1999 and was upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard in 2002 as a Quality Manufacturer of printing inks.
