Osprey Medical Inc. is a medical device company. The Company is focused on the development and commercialization of its products that are designed to reduce the incidence of Contrast Induced Nephropathy (CIN). The Company's lead product AVERT System, is designed to reduce the amount of dye (contrast) injected into patients during standard cardiovascular procedures. The AVERT System is being evaluated by the Company under the United States clinical trial investigation for an expanded marketing claim of reduction of Contrast Induced Nephropathy (CIN). In a pilot human clinical study, the AVERT System has shown to reduce the amount of dye by an average of 40% without compromising fluoroscopic x-ray image visibility. The Company has received an European Regulatory approval (CE Mark), Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approval and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the AVERT System.
