TransDigm Group Incorporated (TD Group), is a global designer, producer and supplier of aircraft components for use on commercial and military aircraft in service. Once its parts are designed into and sold on a new aircraft, it generates sales from aftermarket consumption over the life of that aircraft. The Company operates in three segments: Power & Control, Airframe and Non-aviation. In June 2013, TransDigm Group Inc completes cash tender offer and acquires control of Aerosonic Corporation. In July 2013, TransDigm Group Inc acquired the assets of GE Aviation's Electromechanical Actuation Division. In December 2013, TD Group completed the acquisition of Airborne Systems Inc. from Metalmark Capital. On June 5, 2013, TransDigm Inc. acquired Arkwin Industries, Inc. In March 2014, TransDigm Group Inc completed the acquisition of Elektro-Metall Export GmbH.
