Rural Funds Group is an agricultural real estate investment trust. The principal activity of the Company is the leasing of agricultural properties and equipment. It is engaged in leasing almond orchards and water rights, poultry property and infrastructure, vineyards, and agricultural plant and equipment. It owns a portfolio of agricultural assets, which includes around 27 properties, including around 17 poultry farms (303,216 square meters); around two almond orchards (1,814 planted hectares); one almond orchard under development (600 hectares), and around seven vineyards (666 planted hectares). Its poultry property and infrastructure include around 17 poultry growing farms located in Griffith, New South Wales and Lethbridge, Victoria and around 1,432 mega liters of water entitlements. The Company's vineyard properties include around seven vineyards with six located in South Australia in the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Coonawarra and one located in the Grampians in Victoria.
