Tesco Corporation (TESCO) is engaged in designing, manufacturing, and service delivery of technology based solutions for the upstream energy industry. The Company operates in three segments: Top Drives, Tubular Services, and Research and Engineering. Top Drives is engaged in top drive sales, top drive rentals and after-market sales and services. In Tubular Services segment, the Company provides automated and conventional tubular services. Research and Engineering is engaged in internal research and development activities related to its automated tubular services and top drive model development. On June 4, 2012, the Company sold the assets of the CASING DRILLING segment to Schlumberger Oilfield Holdings Ltd. and Schlumberger Technology Corporation. In November 2013, the Company acquired automated catwalk technology from Custom Pipe Handlers Canada Inc.
