ORBCOMM Inc. (ORBCOMM) operates a global commercial wireless messaging system optimized for narrowband communications. The Company's system consists of a global network of 27 low-Earth orbit (LEO), satellites, two microsatellites and accompanying ground infrastructure. The Company�s two-way communications system enables the Company's customers and end-users, to track, monitor, control and communicate with fixed and mobile assets located anywhere in the world, and two microsatellites that provide worldwide ship tracking capability using the automatic identification system (AIS) technology. The Company also provides terrestrial-based cellular communication services through reseller agreements with cellular wireless providers. In April 2013, it acquired all of the assets of the GlobalTrak division of System Planning Corporation and MobileNet, Inc. In March 2014, the Company acquired Euroscan Holdings, B.V.
