@ThumbTackInvestor Hi TTI, looking forward to your views on the profit guidance. Seems worrying as no profit guidance from them before, and the acknowledgement of e-payment affecting their atm biz.
Reply to @marcusc : You mean the hardware sales dropping part?
Of course that's a concern. That's why I cut and paste the relevant paragraph here!
But if you read the whole transcript... Diebold is expecting a ramp up in revenue recognition in Q4. In Q2, despite lowered guidance, they actually reported sequential sales order growth of 6%.
To cut a long story short, basically banks are still ordering, but revenue recognition for Diebold is slow as the banks are delaying the implementation, dragging out the process.
As for the "sunset industry" part, I'm not so sure about that. Will there be reduced demand? Probably.
50 years from now, could we be completely cashless? Possibly.
But in the next 10 years, ATMs/intelligent terminals will be here to stay. Dutech has also been moving towards software and business solutions, where they get a recurring income from servicing contracts.
Anyone knows when is Dutech releasing this quarter result?
Reply to @NeVeRAgAin94 : Around 2nd week Aug
Steel price seems to have risen greatly recently. Wondering whether this is a major concern for everyone?
Reply to @FunLiang : Rise should abate in 2h as China's credit tightening policies kick in to reduce demand
Besides dutech has a stockpile too

Which is why I've continued adding.
