quekster

@Martin_Seah, seek your opinion on this. Can I interpret the following from this:

For UOB, institution net buy is $33.8M, whereas retail net sell is ($9.8M). Overall is an implied buy of $24.0M, therefore showing that demand > supply, hence likelihood that price goes up (as is the case for UOB).

For Venture, institution net buy is $13.4M, whereas retail net sell is ($25.2M). Overall is an implied sell of ($11.8M), therefore showing that demand < supply, hence likelihood that price goes down (as is the case for Venture).

Does this make sense? Or is this logic flawed?

Martin_Seah

Reply to @quekster : There is still the market makers who balance "the books", they make up the differences.

evelow

well, we can also follow funds to buy the same ones...best is if you are holding those they are buying

zeeq

Reply to @evelow : Don't chase, put in watchlist then wait for pullbacks to join in later. Recent example can be seen on CDG.

How come?
9 of Funds' top 10 net sell counters became Retailers' top 10 net buy.
9 of the Retailers' top 10 net sell become Funds' top 10 net buy.
