so at what price should we buy comfort at?

Reply to @CandyBaby : Frankly in a short situation when a company is under attack by short sellers, the bottom is just as deep as the ocean. Nobody is able to read the mind of the short-sellers. In fact, there are also people who borrows and short the shares. All this short-term play is due to market psychology and people going for short-term profit. Even the serious ones who want to keep long-term also got sucked in and have to sell and cut loss. Things only become clear in hindsight. Even for SPH, it does not necessary mean that it is the lowest now. it may continue to fall after this short respite. It will only stop when the short-sellers think that the cost for shorting does not commensurate with the risks taken.

Watching since it has come down. Used to be a stock I wanted to consider when it is quite different. But price has always been too high. But now.... SPH NAV still lower than its current stock price. Since it comprises Property and Print biz, print business not doing well, so there is now no reason why it should be trading above NAV. Other prop counters below NAV. For it to be worth more than NAV, profit from print business must yield more than that from property. SPH consolidates SPH REIT. So if trading above NAV, might as well buy SPH REIT? There are of course a couple of other things that might be worth something. But not clear. Just pen down my thoughts. There is a price to enter... Not vested.

Reply to @jameskwie : It's true that the loss in print business has yet to be replaced by the property. In fact, I think it is difficult. That was exactly the reason I sold out the SPH and, in the meantime, bought SPH REIT during IPO via ATM. Frankly, only time will tell whether right or wrong to buy at this time. Anyway, it is a small position. Just have to manage as we go along. After all investing requires a bit of risk-taking. Keep my fingers crossed...
