Maybe I m quite naive but if government allow this to go to the public especially from Temasek, shouldn’t this be a safe investment? Beside understanding all investment carries risk but this should be rather safe in my opinion.

But I'll probably caution on "auditor checks" with past cases of Noble, Yuuzoo, etc. Auditors do not come up with valuations (NAV) of investment assets. Realization value of PE assets may vary from its last reported NAV due to investment climate and market liquidity and in event of "fire sale".
I always view PEs as "greater fool game". Its valuations are merely what the most recent investor (greater fools) decide to pay for its cash injections into the ventures.
