It's PE ratio has gone up and is high due to the drop in earnings as their cyclical Offshore marine O&G segment is not doing well for the past few years and currently. So, high PE ratio for the overall cyclical nature of Keppel Corp also is an indicator to suggest it is now at the bottom of the industry cycle. The investor should invest at the bottom of the cycle when earnings are compressed and not at the top when earnings have expanded for cyclical industries.
