Thanks very much Brennen for the sharing of your investment experience! I just add on to your nice sharing that this good way of long term perspective thinking only applies to fundamentally good stocks and good ETFS. For fundamentally weak stocks with dim or unclear future long term prospects I may not hold through or even add to position during a market correction or bear market. Instead I may sell off the weak stocks and reinvest into fundamentally strong companies that have fallen in prices during such opportunate periods. Fundamentally strong companies, their shares may not become toilet paper but fundamentally weak stocks even if I average down at falling prices and hold their shares over bear markets may just become toilet paper in the end.
